9/27 - Daniel 11-12
Daniel 11–12 brings together one of the major lessons of Daniel's life: how to live faithfully when you don't control the world around you—and why you can. Daniel is shown an extraordinarily detailed picture of kingdoms, rulers, conflict, persecution, and a future enemy of God. Daniel 12 answers the larger question of what happens when the world feels completely out of control. God does not promise that His people will avoid suffering, but He promises that suffering is not the end of the story. Resurrection, eternal life, and inheritance await God's people. Daniel's final instruction is essentially: you don't need to know everything; go on your way, stay faithful, and trust where the story ends.
Big Idea: You don't have to control the world to live faithfully in it. You just have to know the God who does—and trust Him enough to stay faithful and remember how the story ends.
